The Final Classic OG Power Rangers Game! - Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition Review

A Bait and Switch! TMNT: Arcade Attack (DS) Review

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Arcade Attack for the Nintendo DS is not the game you'd think it is based solely on the name and cover alone. This game deserves a reboot, it has a unique game mechanic with how they execute special attack. With some extended roster from other Power Rangers series rather then just character from MMPR, I bet it can even stand toe to toe with Power Rangers Battle Of The Grid.

I don't know they could just keep the original formulaire, upgrading it and make a plot like "It's set few year later, File city is flourishing, a lot of Digimon moved there much more than those from the first game but Oh no, our savior Mamemo has been captured and a big danger is coming so everyone leaving the city, we need a new tamer to solve our problem"

Easy to spot someone that never played the oldest game... For old fans like me, this game was something complete of a blast, because we could heard a more modern version of many old songs of the first 5 FF. Screw cloud & squall too, it was by far more fun playing as any other character than them. And playing over and over is rather better compared to GP and they "Gacha" system. GP also have a nice history... but horrible Dub that will make anyone deaf. Sadly, for put it on Japanese audio, it will turn the whole game on Japanese, but the audio change is even worthy for that reason.

Well, on PS1 back on 2003 without internet, I actually finished with nearly 170+ hours. What I did not know was about the secret weapons and that every Digimon should be lv55 for unlock them. This beside that one will need actual cheats for beat the Epilogue of the Pal version, because even with status on 999, they will murder you: I know because I use cheats in the emu version and even with 999 on all, status boosters and using Beelzebumon, still they put me on half of HP with one attack. It was fun too. The other, well, the Pal version actually play the music faster too, which give a better feeling vs the normal speed that will most likely make anyone fall sleep.

    • @InfiniteComboReviews

170+ Hours!?! That's pretty nuts. I don't think the gameplay holds up enough to make me want to play that long outside a personal desire to win and spite though well played on your part. Yeah, most commenters on this and DW2 have mentioned playing sped up emulators for the best results.

I never played this, or forgot it if I did, but it looks like the least educational edutainment game in history. I'm half expecting RL to start emulating Star Trek soon. There was a scene in one Star Trek novel which revealed whoever was in charge of such matters had been regularly changing their mind on whether or not Pluto counted as a planet for centuries. The debate only ended permanently because Pluto got absorbed by a Supersize Borg Cube.

I remember watching the cartoon when I was a kid too. A local channel used to show it and the Wing Commander cartoon back to back and as a long time fan of both franchises (Double Dragon I was probably the first beat em up I played while Wing Commander II was among my first PC games) I loved that time of the weekend. The Double Dragon cartoon might not be one of the all time greats but its far superior to the abomination that is the Double Dragon live action movie IMO. That's actually how I was first exposed to anime because they showed Tekkaman Blade/Technoman and Space Battleship Yamato/Starblazers after the video game based cartoons. When I was young I had tons of surgeries most of them involving my legs or feet and one time while both my legs were in casts I dropped the remote while watching and decided to just watch what came next instead of calling my parents. Then later I forgot to account for daylight savings time and accidently taped Technoman,, Starblazers, and whatever was on after it instead of taping Technoman, Double Dragon, and Wing Commander. Years later I watched Robotech, Sailor Moon, and later Gundam Wing and things went from there. I love this game. Sure I like Scott Pilgrim vs the World more but its still one of my favorite PS3 beat em ups and I'm hoping to get the Switch release soon. It was nice to have a beat em up I hadn't beaten many times before and there weren't many easily available when this came out. I remember being shocked when I found how low some reviews rated it.

I have the Switch and PS4 editions. I had a lot of fun with this and the concept of a Coffee themed beat em up drew me in. I love coffee. I once drank seven mugs in less then an hour just to prove to my best friend that doing so wasn't fatal. It actually took a while because at the time we were in high school film production class together filming at a local coffee shop which gave free refills on regular coffee and coffee and the teacher buying coffee or coco for the students. But we had to go back to school fast enough I never got more then three or four mugs down before we had to leave. But once while we were up in the city we stopped an an I-hop for dinner and had to wait for his sister who worked at the nearby mall to get off because her car had stopped working. I was determined this time and I finished mug seven at minute 52. When my parents got the news they told me they were leaving me home while they took a sudden trip to visit family in another state and talked the waitress at the restaurant they went to on a date in telling me they were hundreds of miles away once I got home and called after finding them gone (They were actually about twenty-five miles away) Usually I just drink four to six mugs worth a day because I have a 16 oz mug I usually drink in the morning, but not quite full and a second mug in the afternoon with a third mug likely when its cold out or raining.

Starbucks actually took over the Student Union coffee shop my last year in college but that was most of my Starbucks visits. This is my favorite 90s Power Rangers game. It partially avoids the IMO biggest pitfall of the SNES movie game. Namely being based on the movie set around the end of season two and beginning of season three it uses that late season two replacement rangers while some Genesis levels use the replacements and others the originals. Two of my three favorites of the original five were replaced and neither the Black Ranger or Yellow Ranger replacements was as good as the original IMO though at at least the new Red Ranger was an improvement over the original who was at the time my least favorite of the original five. Though part of Zeo later gave that least favorite slot to Kimberly who is still my least favorite female ranger in the franchise.

    • @InfiniteComboReviews

I don't think it was a special occasion, but regardless it came packed in with Mario Bros 3, but before I opened the system my Grandpa took me out to buy any game I wanted and I chose TMNT 3, so when the NES was opened, plugged in, ect, the first game in the system was TMNT 3.

The Insane difficulty is proof enough that MMPR the movie Ft. Ivan Ooze is not a Power Rangers game. You can only have 5 hits per life and there's only 4 continues which is split between you and the second player. I do like the morphing sequence since its realistic to the TV show.

I like this game but if playing solo I prefer the first SNES game and prefer the Genesis game to this. The main advantage this has over the first SNES game is coop. And with two of my three favorite members of the original five replaced midseason two and thus before the movie I prefer the playable cast of the first SNES game (The Genesis movie game has several levels set during season two, before the events of the movie, which include the replaced Rangers. Ironically these levels are basically covering the arc leading to the replacements joining the team) As for the armed putties maybe they were from an earlier script of the movie, or maybe they dug out some rejected plot ideas for the series to make the game longer. I mean the Rangers had energy pistols so the I'm honestly surprised idea of arming the putties with guns never occurred to Finster, Rita, or Zedd.

Saying I "remember it" is a bit of a stretch. I wanted to play it, but at the time I didn't have the income to justify it. Then when I did, my online friends wanted to play it, but it doesn't have online co-op, so I still held off. @@InfiniteComboReviews ah that's very unfortunate...yeah much like Transformers Devastation I am very fortunate to have gotten it before it was delisted, for WHAT it was, it was a fairly simple but fun beat em up, it wasn't super long and it felt like an alternate retelling of the OG series...and they REALLY didn't have to, but adding the Season 2 cast as alternate characters was a nice change of pace idea...so if you liked Rocky, Adam, Aisha or Kat more you could use them...Billy got his more buffer season 2 appearance where he dropped the nerd look and Tommy of course was the White ranger who is the only character who gets any gameplay differences...my only REAL complaint was reducing the Megazord battles to a FPS shooter then a Rhythm game but I get it, it was a low budget game and I am sure they didn't have any better ways to portray the Megazord battles especially if you were playing 4 players...I hope you find someone who has it to at least give a try, its not a great game but for what you get it could pleasantly surprise you

Turns out that YOU CAN actually play against any opponent you want in verse mode without a second player, though the way the instruction booklet explains it is wrong. To do it, you just have to use a second controller, press the select button and it will switch to a CPU. Then select the character. My bad, though, who really reads the instruction booklets? Am I right?

Your review lacks balance. How can you zero in on pet peeves and use that to define the entire game. Its funny you over look how the mechanics adds to the experience of the game and merely wanting it to be dumbed down because of a few gripes here and there would remove those gripes but you don't have a clue how it would probably unearth another one of your gripes. No wonder you are stuck at such a low subscriber count.

I actually remember enjoying digimon world 2. It had a moment where I felt content with the game. Though my favorite has always been digimon world 1. Struggled with it for what felt like years (probably was like 12 months). We could never get ultimates and we would just get destroyed by the game mechanics... and then suddenly our poor champion took its last teaching lesson on the chalkboard and we thought it was going to be reborn into a digitama... when its head sank and the screen froze... we were sad... and then a thought bubble showed up... it wasn't hungry, sleepy or tired... it was evolving! it became our first andromon ... our first ultimate. All that time sunk into that game and that moment was special for me at least. Afer that, the game got easier and we started to finally understand the evolution system and a friend had found a bunch of stats for each digimon path which greatly helped us fill out our evolution chart. Had the most fun playing digimon 1. Too bad they didn't improve on the replay cause evolving was fun but not enough quests to fill it out. DW3, DW4 were trash. DW3 was boring af and DW4 was for babies or something. The rumble arena games were great, we used to play with the neighborhood a bunch with that! But honestly the most polished of all DW games was the card battle games. Those were deeply engaging and had all the animations. A good memories growing up playing digimon... good memories.
